Match report Little Hallingbury and Stansted Hall and Elsenham managed to beat the elements to be one of only two matches played in the HECL this weekend. Aided by a quick drying pitch and 22 patient players the captains agreed to s 27 over match starting at 3.15.

Hallingbury made a slow start reaching 20 for no wicket from 7 overs before a rain delay reduced the match to 22 overs a side. With just 15 overs to bat, Hallingbury put on 126-5 in their 22 overs with Sunny Bharambe
scoring 36, Gary Jackson 25 and Raj Bharambe 21. Fitzpatrick and Brown picked up 2-18 and 2-29 respectively.

Stansted Hall and Elsenham lost Kesingland first ball of their innings to Patil, who finished with figures of 2-24. Sunny and Raj Bharambe both picked up 2 wickets each as well, but a series of extras allowed Hall to start the final over requiring 3 runs to win. Two dot balls and wicket from Raj Bharambe set up a tense finish. A single off of the fourth ball allowed Taylor back on strike. His well-judged innings was rewarded with the honour of hitting the winning runs with one ball to spare, finishing unbeaten on 35 and Stansted Hall on Elsenham on 127-6.
