Little Hallingbury Cricket Club

One more clinical performance and one more win! Win number 11 recorded today by defeating Albury, comfortably by 223 runs.

Albury won the toss and asked Little Hallingbury to bat first. After bit shaky start when losing 2 wickets for 8 runs.This time Kalyankar brothers sticks in and shap the inning with some mighty hits by Amit puts opponents on back foot before he got out on 67. Partnership of 98 between Amit and Sudip laid solid foundation for then real fireworks by in form Ish and Gareth. Ish and Gareth had one more fantastic week in middle and took game away from Albury. Ish had 68 and Gareth made solid 89 took us to 309 for loss of 7 wickets.

In reply Albury was never able to threaten us and Jay Fensom ripped Albury top order by claiming 5 wickets with his hostile spell including bouncers and few yorkers.  Richard Astwood took 4 wickets and took his tally to 47 now for the season. S. Dobson had 1 wicket. Albury were all out on 86 in 19 overs. Our fielding was top notch and holding the catches made significant difference so far this year. Good example was Luke today who took stunning diving catch in slip  to end the game.

Next week we are away to Wethersfield and following has said they are available
