Essenden v Little Hallingbury Cricket Club Saturday Team on Sat 28 May 2011 at 1.30
Little Hallingbury Cricket Club Lost by 8 wkts

Match report Struggling for availability, Little Hallingbury travelled to Essendon with just 10 men. Batting first on a two-paced track, Hallingbury struggled to 100 all out. The innings started well with Amit Kalyankar (24) playing some lusty blows including a wonderful six that a sailed twenty yards over the long on boundary.

The innings was steadied by Tom Phipps (22) before he fell pray to a slow long hop which clipped the top of the stumps. It was then left to Gareth Williams (34) to marshal the tail, ensuring a bonus point.

Despite having just 100 runs to defend, Hallinbury's fielding performance was fantastic. Both Amit and Sudip Kalyankar bowled tightly, ably backed up by a fine bowling spell from Raj Patil. In the end Essendon made it home with 17 overs to spare.
