Match report Hallingbury doubled their league wins for the season with a win over High Beach. Solid batting saw The Berries hit 256 runs. Phipps (42) Kalyankar (35) and Turner (33) provided a solid base. Kevin Riley batted superbly to build an innings that mixed solid defence with savage attack to top score on 62. It was also nice to see Malik clear the pavilion with one shot in his whirlwind 26.

Jay Fensom continued his development as the team's strike bowler picking up 3-51 from his 10 overs. This included the wicket of the High Beach skipper Mick Evans, who was dismissed by a ball that swung in and then seamed away to clip the top of off stump. Despite taking advantage of some loose bowling towards the end of the innings High Beach were behind the run rate most of the way and finished on 242 for 8.
