Little Hallingbury Cricket Club Won by 42 runs

Match report Little Hallingbury managed back to back wins for the first time this season with an impressive 42 run victory at South Loughton IIs. In a rain shortened game Hallingbury batted first and made 173-7 from their 28 overs. Tom Phipps top scored again with 44 and was supported ably by Phil Rowley and Ishfaq Malik, both 21. Alex White batting at 7 made an impressive 33 including 2 fours and 3 sixes, after a lengthy rain break to post a challenging total.

South Loughton made a good start to their innings, only to be pegged back by Alex White 2-37, dismissing Farthing and Rahman. Henman (39) plundered runs with Lane (31) until Malik had them caught by Goold and Sunny Bharambe in an impressive spell that saw him finish with 4-0-5-2. The day was to belong to Jay Fensom, as the classy U15 pace bowler ripped out the heart of the middle order with a hat-trick. Gill was caught by Goold and Bolt caught by Rumble off of the 5th and 6th balls of his fourth over and then he returned to clean bowl Chaplain with first ball of his 5th. From then on Hallingbury were assured of victory.
