Match report Little Hallingbury defied the weather to register their third win on the bounce against a youthful Bishop's Stortford IVs. Having lost the toss Stortford batted first losing Readshaw early, caught and bowled by the economical Downer (1-21) in the second over. Clint Williams (47) and Fred Hussain (48) formed a formidable partnership but both fell just short of their half centuries. Hussain was well caught at extra cover by Oli Turner off of Malik and Williams was caught by Kalyankar off of Sunny Bharambe. It was left to skipper Roger Parker (53) to push the total to 163 with some beautifully placed strokes. For the second week in succession three wickets fell in three consecutive balls of a Jay Fensom spell. This time the young pace man was unable to claim a hattrick as Stewart Goold ran out Parker and then Thorpe before Hughes was caught behind off of the penultimate ball of the innings.

In reply Hallingbury lost 2 early wickets, with both Goold and Dodd falling to the wayward Thorpe (2-15) in the first three overs. A 144 third wicket partnership between Sudip Kalyankar (59) and Sunny Bharambe (79) saw the Berries cruise home with 11 overs to spare and bring their number of league wins to 4, matching their total in the whole of last season.
