Match report With the title in sight Berries visited promotion chasing Hockerill IIs and batted first. Despite a satisfactory run tight bowling from one end by Peter Francis(4-33) accounted for many of the top order, with Stewrt Goold (25), Ishfaq Malik (34) and Tom Phipps (22) all getting starts. A mini collapse saw Hallingbury slide to 105-6, however a solid partnership between Gareth Williams (29) and Jay Fensom (21) started the much needed process of the wagging of the tail. However, it was Luke Rumble's quick fire 33 not out that led to a respectable total of 213-8. The opening bowlers Jay Fensom (10-3-28-1) and Rich Astwood (10-4-17-0) bowled very economically restricted Hockerill to just 36 of the first 18 overs. Stuart Dobson picked up 3-46 and Sudip Kalyankar (2-35) removed the dangerous Jack Patterson (75) whose partnership with Hudson (19) threatened to get Hockerill back into the game. In truth, Hockerill were up against a stiff run rate in the latter half of their innings and a couple of run outs secured victory and Berries first title since 2008.
