Match report LHCC went into their next game against Thaxted hoping to finish second and get their first win of the competition. LHCC were once again asked to field. Ishfaq Malik and Alex Turner opened up the bowling and bowled nice and tightly in the opening 8 overs both taking wickets. But a impressive 28 from Martin took Thaxted to a respectable total of 169 from their 20 overs. The LHCC reply started badly, losing Luke Rumble early on. But a courageous 121 partnership between Gareth Williams and Ishfaq Malik made it look like we would win easily. However,once they where both out the innings crumbled and in the end we lost by 9 Runs.
