Little Hallingbury Cricket Club Won By 41 Runs

Match report On a cloudy afternoon LHCC won the toss and batted first. Goold (24) and Turner (150) started well for the first wicket putting on a stand of 70. Until Goold was caught by Powter (1-51). But Turner and Kalyanker steadied the ship and batted with calmness and control. They also had support towards the end of the innings from Fensom (6*) and Dobson (18*). We got to tea pretty pleased with our work at 295-4 from their 45 overs.
Stansted knew that if they wanted to break our unbeaten run they would have to bat well and they did just that through Johnson (12) and Baker (101). Fensom (1-37) and Astwood (0-47) continued to bowl nice and tightly. But Baker stayed at the crease and when Sudip was hit for 3 sixes in one over and it looked liked we would slip to our first defeat of the season. But Malik and Fensom held their nerve to get LHCC over the line and with that our 8th win of the season.
