Match report On the hottest day of the year the Rachel Goold Xl came to town knowing that a win would make up for all the losses of the previous 2 years . LHCC won the toss and batted first. Will Goold (0-21) and Tom Allen (0-23) were the opening bowlers and they bowled nice and tightly restricting them to 29 runs in the opening 5 overs. LHCC got to the drinks break in a bit of trouble at 88-3. After the drinks break, LHCC accelerated the total along thanks to a slogging Turner (47). But some brilliant fielding from Jeremy Tipper and superb death bowling from Louis Tipper(1-6) got LHCC to a gettable total of 162 from 35 over’s.

The Rachel Goold Xl reply got off to a terrible start losing Jeremy Tipper off the first ball of the innings bowled by Astwood (2-15). But a gutsy 50* from L.Tipper got the team close to their total. He also had support from A. Young (27) and Mark Spalding (26). With the score level Andrew Young was bowled and Stewart Goold came in to face what turned out to be the last ball of the match as Jay Fensom (2-11) bowled 4 byes which got the Rachel Goold Xl over the line.
