Match report On a warm and sunny afternoon, LHCC batted first. They started well with the opening pair putting on a partnership of 181 for the first wicket. We got to drinks in a pretty strong position on 104-0 after 20 overs. Remarkably, Turner for the second day in a row reached yet another century. But when he was out the innings fell away. We managed to get to a decent total of 238 from our 40 overs.

Thaxted began there reply brightly through J.Graham(34) and D.Shayler(92). Any short pitched bowling was despatched to the fence. Thaxted is a very hard ground to defend runs on. However a late flurry of wickets gave Hallingbury some hope. Featherstone took three wickets in one over. But I wasn't enough as Thaxted cruised home with plenty of time to spare.
