Match report Back to winning ways and a solid performance by the whole team. Gooldie led the way with a patient knock of 57 that provided a solid foundation for the innings. Tom hit another fifty and jug avoiding forties from Ishfaq and Sudip combined with a powerful cameo of 29 from Luke took us to 269 for 7.

Early wickets in a good spell of bowling from Luke (2-26) combined with impressively tight bowling from Stuart, who went for just 35 from his 10 overs, put Essendon on the back foot. They attempted to rebuild and Meekcoms hit an impressive 116, but when he fell with a cue end caught and bowled by Amit, it was left to the Kalyankar boys to clean up. Sudip finished by 3 for 44 from 7.4 overs, but Amit only required 3 overs to finish with 3-16. There was no truth in the rumour I started that Amit was taken off so that Sudip would finish with the most wickets at the end of the season!
