Match report It has been described as total cricket by one participant and in truth it was an impressive performance by the Berries on Saturday. After Luke's first over disappeared for 9 we exerted some excellent control with the ball. Luke's opening spell of 7 overs troubled the batsman with both seam and swing movement and Stuart bowled impressively going for just 23 off his 10 overs. It took a moment of brilliance from Amit Kalyankar to give us our first wicket. Fielding at cover he noticed the non-striker backing up and threw the stumps down from 15 yards. Despite making his ground the batsman did not learn his lesson and Amit repeated the feat the very next ball, this time the batsman was well short. Fielding and bowling all round was excellent and Little Munden were restricted to just 160 in their 45 overs. Mark got through a whole spell, Sudip and Ishfaq picked up a couple of wickets each, with catches from the two Amits emphasising our competence in the field. Mark took a steepling catch on the long on boundary, just keeping himself inside the field of play.

Our reply started well, with Stewart hitting 3 fours off the first over and when Amit joined in we reached 50 inside 7 overs. Stewart hit 52 of 49 balls and was matching Amit stroke for stroke until the little master went into overdrive after reaching his fifty. In the end the low total was the only thing that stopped Amit reacching his ton, finishing on 94 not out of 65 balls as we romped to a 10 wicket win in 18.5 overs.
