Match report A thumping win over Potter Street kept Hallingbury's promotion hopes alive. Goold did everyone a favour by getting out in the second over, allowing the Kalyankar brothers to continue their impressive run of form. The rate was quickly up at 7 and then 8 an over as both posted 50's before drinks were served. Sudip fell for 69 but Amit pushed on to reach a memorable 100. After taking a fresh guard, Amit was out the next ball, allowing Ishfaq to continue the onslaught. He was determined to see the innings through and along with decent contributions from Dave and Jay, made sure we posted a match winning total.
We knew the first 15 overs of the Potter Street innings would dictate the outcome of the game. A snorting delivery 3 ball of the innings saw the dangerous Hasan caught behind without scoring. A fantastic opening spell saw Jay remove the Potter Street top 3 within his first 5 overs and the game was up. Rich, Ish and Sudip tidied up the rest and the game was over as a match with 10 overs to spare.
Sudip flew to India as the leading wicket taker for the season with 3 matches left. 3 wins will see Hallingbury secure their third promotion in a row.
