Match report With it still being April, the LHCC Sunday side braved the cold weather hoping to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat at the hands of Easton’s. We won the toss and fielded first. Rumble and Watt started well, but anything short was despatched by the Sampfords top order. They both batted calmly and sensibly running well between the wickets in the process. Luck was not on our side with a couple of dropped catches going down but Dobson (3-27) and Stedman(0-65) stopped Sampfords getting to a massive total of 326 from their 40 overs.

After a super tea involving scones and pork pies, Rumble (29) and Rowley (41) started our reply batting with calmness. Until Rumble swing across the Hammersmith And City when the ball went down the Central Line and was bowled. As the run rate started to climb we lost regular wicket's at the wrong time. Not even a 30 run partnerships from the two Goolds was even enough as Sampfords won with 7 overs to spare.
