Little Hallingbury Cricket Club Won By 36 Runs

Match report On a very warm sunny afternoon at Gaston Green we played host to Hallingbury Place. We batted first in a 35 over game and Stewart and Luke started well playing patiently and sensibly. We where going well until Stewart was given out LBW to Wallace(1-42),but Luke kept on going and in doing so reached his maiden century for LHCC. He has good support from Wharton(70) and Goold(21) until he foolishly ran himself out! We got to a getable total of 263 from our allotted overs.

Faced with a daunting score up their sleeve, Hallingbury Place's openers went at it with great gusto striking the ball all over the field and punishing the early bowlers considerably. Will Renals continued from where he left off from last weekend bowling nice and tightly. As the game went on we started to find our mark and the wickets began to fall and with this the run rate. Nick(4-13) And Luke(0-16) bowled tightly and in doing so kept the runs down. Hallingbury Place eventually fell short on 227-7.
