Match report This was a game to remember for the Berries. Having won the toss and elected to bat we had a stuttering start and at 61-4 posting a decent score looked unlikely. However Thorne and Rumble set about rebuilding and though Luke went for a quickfire 26 the skipper, along with the lower order, managed to drag the total up to a respectable 183, scoring 92 not out with 3 of the colts, namely Alex Dixon-Smith, Peter Watt and Ben Lea all holding up an end to build the total.
Dave Jones and Luke bowled great opening spells taking 3-19 and 2-21 respectively as Eastons came under early pressure. At 26-5 it soon became apparent they would be happy with the draw so Hallingbury hunted for wickets. With Alex-Dixon Smith, 6 overs 2-7 and Nick, 4.4 overs 3-5 bowling at the death, Alex tumbled their ninth wicket in the penultimate over and the skipper bowled the furious Mimmack out with a wrong-un with 2 balls to spare.
