Little Hallingbury Cricket Club Lost By 5 Wickets

Match report With the season coming to an end, we entertianed the Raj Xl on a warm day at Gaston Green. With the returning Sunny Bharambe captaining the other team they where in safe hands. Hallingbury batted first and Rumble went to stamp his authority on the innings hitting the ball to all parts off the ground untill he fell agonizingly short of a half centry falling for 47. After he got out the run rate slowed down a bit but Stedman(9)and Featherstone(8) managed to rebuild the innings a bit. Thorne also helped to rebuild the innings making a quickfire 20 but it wasnt enough as we were bowled out for 125.

After a brilliant Indian feast of tea The Raj Xl came out to start their reply. Sunny opened the batting and paced his innings very well hitting 30 not before before retireing.He also had support from V.Shal who also retired on 50. Some tight bowling from Peter Watt(2-7) and Goold(0-3) at the end kept the scoreing down. However 125 was never going to be enough as Raj Patel saw his team over the line with plenty of time to spare.
