Match report On a very cold windy day with drizzle and poor light, Stocking Pelham asked LHCC to field first and were subjected to a spectacular Luke Rumble innings with him smashing the ball to all parts of the ground. A truly entertaining and superb innings which saw him end up just short of the club record on 171 not out when LHCC declared out of a final total of 263-2 from just 35 overs. There were 20 fours and 11 six's in this innings which surprisingly saw no lost balls or broken windows or damaged cars. The next highest score was 38 which reflects his dominance of the innings.

Surely this was game over but no on another unfriendly bowling wicket offering no assistance at all to our bowlers and with a short boundary Stocking Pelham raced to over 140 runs before the 1st wicket fell, despite
another quick wicket the batsmen continued to play shots against the bowlers with the number four batsman looking like he was intent on winning the game

Then with darkness falling (always a sign of poor light when the aircraft overhead have their lights on) the captain introduced himself into the attack taking some quick wickets and then had the dangerous batsmen out stumped with only a handful of overs left. Stocking Pelham then held out (they were 2 men short) and earned a well deserved draw finishing on 231-7
