Eastons v Little Hallingbury Cricket Club Sunday Team on Sun 22 Apr 2018 at 2.00pm,
Little Hallingbury Cricket Club Lost By 10 Wickets

Match report Hallingbury travelled to Eastons for the traditional season opener and on a good pitch bathed in sunshine, after winning the toss, proceeded to make hard work of batting first. Crumbs of comfort came from Amit Singh scoring an assured 32 opening the batting, a destructive 36 from Ish in the middle order and cameos from Dylan (14) and Andy Renals (23) wagging the tail to drag us up to a barely respectable 145 - never enough on a pretty flat track. In defence of our flimsy batting Mimmack (4-26) and Barnard (2-18) bowled their usual tidy spells.
Eastons made short work of knocking the total off without losing a single wicket partly aided by 5 dropped catches from a Berries outfit that patently ‘needed the run’. Our congratulations must go to Hawkins on his maiden test century.
On the plus side the cakes at tea could not have been improved upon. Berries’ performance could.
