Little Hallingbury Cricket Club Won By 3 wickets

Match report On a warm and hot day the Rachel Goold Xl batted first in a 30 over game They started well with Karim(13) and Jameel(38) placing the ball to all parts of the ground. Jameel has good support from W.Goold (11) and Nabeel (20*) who cared his bat for nearly the whole innings. With the ball keeping low on a number of occasions it made life very difficult for the batsmen. Along with some good bowling from Raj( 2-13) and Luke S (1-11) they managed to reduce the Rachel Goold Xl to a below par 121 from there allotted overs.

After a big tea involving pavlovia, scones and cake. the Hallingbury chase begin. it didn't start well with S.Goold(2-11) picking up two wickets in quick succession . With Raj(19) and Andy(12) coming together and putting a useful stand of 33 there was hope for Hallingbury. But the Rachel Goold Xl kept chipping away especally Wain(2-11) and T.Connanly (1-11). With Goold and Nabeel bowling tightly in the closing overs it was all set up for a grandstand finish. With 6 needed of the last over. it was left to Thorne to hit the winning runs. A great game played In a great spirit.
