Little Hallingbury Cricket Club Won By 190 Runs

Match report With the last game of the season looming we traveled to Thorley. We were inserted after they won the toss. Amit K(59) was back to full fitness again and started hitting the ball to all parts of the ground. Gareth who got a promotion up to 3 batted well until he got run out for 22. Dave Wain and Sunny came together and batted superbly, running between the wickets well.This resulted them putting on a partnership of 179 and also Dave reaching a well deserved ton. They both had support lower down the order from Fensom(22), Kalyankar(6) and Dobson(1*) to get us to a near impossible target of 337.

Fensom and Dobson started well troubling the batsman outside there off stump. Goold(1-22) and Stedman(3-37) got the ball swinging especially Stedman who bowled with pace and was swinging it round all corners. in the end Thorley fell way short by 190 runs cementing a top 4 position in division 2. A great game and season ending with the drink in the bar and a sleepover in the pavilion.
