Little Hallingbury Cricket Club Won By 8 Runs

Match report It was a warm and sunny day that greeted 22 players as they strode out onto the hallowed turf of Gaston Green. We played a 30 over game with players retiring on 25 but they could come back if all their team got out. The Rachel Goold Xl were sent into the field but both Goold's started bowling well and with the help of Watson (2-25) ripped through the Hallingbury top order and had them struggling at 35-5 after 10 overs. But Fensom came to the wicket and showed what a true cricketer he was hitting the ball to all parts of the ground. Along with Dobson (25*). Williams (23*) and Karim (23) they got up to a challenging total of 196.

The Rachel Goold Xl knew that if they where to get anywhere near the total a few people had to retire early and they did that through the help of Tipper(25*) and Wain(25*) both retiring quickly. Some good hit from West (23) and W Goold (25*) got the target down to a manageable score. however, with the run rate climbing and the loss of late wickets the Rachel Goold Xl fell short by 8 runs. A good game played a good spirit.
