Little Hallingbury Cricket Club Lost By 6 Wickets

Match report As our third away game of the season approached we traveled to North Weald looking for a victory. We won the toss and batted first. Tom Wharton opened up with Karim and both took their time placing the ball around quite a big outfield. Playing his second game of the season Tom got to a well deserved 50, he had good support from Nick(21) and Vishal(21) who was playing his first game of the season for us. Wood(4-21) bowled well for North Weald and picked up wickets at regular intervals. Some good low order hitting from Luke Stedman (15) and Andy (17) helped us get to a good total of 164.
Our reply started well with Luke and Nabeel bowling well especially Nabeel who picked up 2 quick wickets. We kept on applying the pressure picking up wickets at regular intervals but good ball striking from Howarth, Clark(30) and Ward(31) along with poor bowling from Hallingbury saw North Weald home with a bit of time to spare. We will hope to bounce back at home next weekend aganst Thaxted.
