Eastons v Little Hallingbury Cricket Club Sunday Team on Sun 28 Apr 2019 at 14.00
Little Hallingbury Cricket Club Lost By 7 Wickets

Match report As the temperature dropped below 10c, another cricket season dawned. We traveled down to Eastons for our season opener. Hallingbury batted first and on a pitch with had some uneven bounce and we struggled against some good bowling from Mimick (4-16) and Amerne (5-35). Only a partnership between Thorne and Nabeel Somani of over 70 runs helped us limp to a total of 115 from our allotted time.
Eastons set out after tea to try and finish the game off as quickly as then could. Dobson and Astwood bowled well, trying to restore some pride and pick up some early wickets but it was not to be as some good hitting from the Eastons top 4 saw them reach their target with ease. Sam Watt helped us retain some dignity with a couple of late wickets, but it was an easy win for Eastons in the end.
