Little Hallingbury Cricket Club Sunday Team v Andy Renals XI on Sun 12 May 2019 at 14.00
Little Hallingbury Cricket Club Won By 76 Runs
Match report
On a warm and sunny day at Gaston Green we played against our good friends the Andy Renals Xl. The format was a 30 over game, retire at 25 (but players can come back if the whole team gets out), first ball was a free hit and everybody had to bowl minimum 2 overs. We where inserted by the Andy Renals Xl. Karim wasted no time at all in getting to 25 and retiring. However. wickets fell around him but some good support from M.Shepard (7) on his return to the club and A.White (25*) with another good contribution from Nabeel (22) meant we reached a very challenging score of 173 from our 30 overs.
After we were all full up from tea, the Andy Renals Xl set about chasing the target down. Fresh from his brilliant opening spell on the previous day Nabeel once agin was causing havock for the opening batsman. With wickets falling at regular intervals, D.Cole (27*) was the only person that provided hope for the visiting side. A special mention should go out to youngsters Samson BC and James Schilder who both bowled brilliantly well and fielded very well. In the end the Andy Renals Xl never got close and Hallingbury won with ease. A good game played in the right spirit.
