Match report A tough day for Hallingbury as we endured one of our heaviest defeats in recent years. The day started badly when we lost the toss and went downhill from there. An inexperienced bowling attack was thumped to all parts of the ground. We used 7 bowlers in total and only Amit Kalyankar managed to keep the run rate in check with outstanding figures of 9-1-26-2.
Chasing an improbable 325 for victory, our top order had to go for their shots. Unfortunately most of them either missed the ball or were caught on the boundary. Gareth played sensibly and marshalled the tail nicely to finish 28*, however all in all, it was an afternoon to forget.
