Match report On a very warm and hot day, we travelled to Nazeing Common still looking for our first win of this reduced season. We won the toss and batted first. A good start was required and both Amits set about doing that as we got to 56-0 inside the first 10 overs. Amit Kalyanker eventually fell for 62 and then the scoring slowed. During the middle overs we had a bit of a stutter mainly due to tight bowling from Barker(3-24) and Quinn. Some good contributions down the lower order from Ishfaq (65*) and Sudip (16) helped us get to a par total of 208 in our 40 overs.

In reply, we bowled with energy and fielded like tigers. Joe Ash brought some much needed pace and Will and Ishfaq added control. Superb catches from Matt Shepherd and Joe Ash meant that we were in a strong position at the half way stage. However, as the innings extended so did the extras. In the end, a total of 40 wides meant that Nazeing were always up with the rate. Joe Ash bowled the last over and almost managed to defend the 4 runs required, but Nazeing eventually got home with one ball to spare.
