Little Hallingbury Cricket Club Won By 4 Wickets

Match report Hoping to make it back to back victories on Sundays we entertained Eastons on a hot and sunny day at Gaston Green. We fielded first and a good start with the ball was required. Luke Wharton and Joe Apperly did just that - Joe in particularly going well, only conceding 3 runs in his 4 overs bowled! However, Barnard had other ideas and batted very well getting to 88 not out. Some good bowling from Thorne (2-10) and Sunny (2-39) as well as some good fielding in the middle overs kept the scoring down to a chaseable score of 145 from 35 overs.

We didn’t get off to the best of starts, losing both our openers early. However, Sunny and Tom Wharton came together and put on a solid partnership of 97 and they were both unlucky to miss out on 50s. With support from Nick and Raj, we got home with 2 overs to spare.
