Match report Against all odds amidst torrential rain we managed to get in an entertaining 20 Over match which saw the home side come out on top. A cloudburst after 9 overs of the Hallingbury innings saw the game stopped for over an hour, and at one stage it looked increasingly likely that there would be no further play. Eventually though, the match resumed at around 4pm and Hallingbury got off to a flyer thanks to Shepherd and Wharton. Conditions were incredibly challenging, especially in the slippery outfield, but Hallingbury would surge to a total of 156-4 thanks to Wharton (48*) and Ash (47) who would go on to post a 4th wicket partnership of 98, with both cruelly missing out on their respective half-centuries.

Having gone straight back out into the field after the first innings, the visitors' openers came out of the blocks firing. However, 2 quick wickets for Luke Wharton and 1 from Nick quickly put the brakes on. Maria would then take her first catch in senior cricket off the bowling of her brother, who would go on to finish with 3 wickets in the gloom. Hadham would finish on 81-6, resulting in a huge victory for the home team.

An excellent game played in superb spirit by all in extremely challenging conditions!
