Match report Another Saturday and yet more rain greeted both sides. With water getting under the covers overnight at LHCC, a plan was arranged to play at Stansted Hall’s ground. We lost the toss and batted first. Both Amits started well on a slow pitch where there was movement from the bowlers. Unfortunately despite a good partnership of 51 between Goold (8) and Amit K (71) nobody could stick with him as we limped to a score of 139-8 from 30 overs.
Once again we started well with the ball applying pressure straight away. Sudip conceded only 9 runs in his 6 overs and with only 6 overs to go and 36 required, it looked like it could be anybody’s game. However, despite good catches from Mathew and Mithun we fell short once again and slipped to our third defeat of the season.
