Little Hallingbury Cricket Club Lost By 7 Wickets

Match report We travelled to Matching Green for our final away game of the season. With rain around we reduced the game to 35 overs a side. We batted first and Matt Shepard and Mithun got us off to a solid start, putting on 50 for the first wicket. We had a mini collapse and we were 74-4 in the 15th over with still a lot of overs left. It was left to Ishfaq(37) and Tom Heighes(14) to rebuild. With good support from Phil Rowley and Will we manged to stutter to a total of 149.
Quick wickets were required and unfortunately we couldn’t do it. We dropped two catches and despite a fine catch from Samson and good bowling from Nick and Sudip the Matching top order had too much for us as we lost by 7 wickets. We play our final game of the season next week at home to Hatfield Heath.
