Match report Another glorious sunny day greeted LHCC as they played the traditional game against the Rachel Goold Xl. The Rachel Goold Xl got off to a flying start with both Tipper boys hitting the ball to all parts of the ground. With Louis Tipper able to retire on 50 that gave the opportunity for some of the other members of the team to build a score. Luke and Jay hit some mighty blows and Gareth managed a boundary before playing on. Maria took a wicket in a tidy spell, but ultimately Hallingbury struggled in the heat as the away side got to a score of 260 from 35 overs.

LHCC didn’t get off to a good start with skipper Tom edging behind in the early overs. However Joe Apperley was able to repair some of the damage by getting to 50 before retiring. With Karim in and set, it looks like it could be a close game. However once Karim was out, the run rate started climbing and in the end it got too much for LHCC as they closed on 184-4. A great game played in a good spirit.
