Little Hallingbury Cricket Club Won By 2 Wickets

Match report On another hot day the Sunday side played the traditional game against the Raj Xl. We fielded first and Samson bowled a quick spell and picked up two wickets in the process. Two people in the opposition got to 40 before retiring. Hallingbury picked up wickets at regular intervals thanks to Malcom(2-47), Matt (2-30) to keep the scoring down. Special mention to Veer who hit some good shots towards the end of the innings to push the scoring rate up a bit. The Raj Xl got to score off 232 from 35 overs.
Hallingbury didn't get off to the best of starts with skipper Wharton slicing to point. But Luke and Joe came together together and hit the ball hard and both ended up retiring. Once they both retired we had a mini collapse but Samson and James Chambers making his debut came together and batted sensibly. Once they were both dismissed it got quite close it was then left to Luke who came back in and got to his 100 in the process along with Nick who finished 16 not out to see the Hallingbury side home to victory. A good game played in a good spirit.
