Match report With only 3 Sunday games left we play Springfield at Gaston Green. We fielded first and Will got off to a good start picking up a wicket. Samson bowled well and deserved a wicket for his fast and accurate bowling. We struggled at the halfway point of the innings but Raj picked up 4 wicket to lift our spirits. A youthful Springfield side got to a total of 232.
With a big score on the board we knew we had to get off to a good start if we wanted to chase it down, and we got off to a solid start with Tom and Freddie Dutton who put on 84 for the first wicket. We had a bit of a collapse after that but Luke Wharton kept us in the game with 64 until he was out to a superb one handed caught and bowled. With 11 needed of the last over it was left to Raj and Will to try and see us home. Unfortunately it couldn't quite happen as we lost by just a single run. What a game!!
