Match report After last weekend’s opening defeat to Braughing we hosted High Beech. We batted first and Matt and Amit got off to a steady start before Matt was bowled. Ollie came to the wicket and played a superb innings and had support down the order from Ishfaq (58) and Tom who made 13. Hallingbury finishing on 230 from their 40 overs.
We went out to field and High Beech raced to 60-0 at the end of the 6th over mainly thanks to some huge hitting from Shazzad who made 86. We pegged it back in the middle overs thanks to Tom, Ishfaq and Sudip. It looked like it was going to be a close finish but the High Beech lower order held their nerve to get them over the line. We go again next week away at Potter Street.
