Match report Looking to follow up last weekends victory at Stansted we played away at North Weald. With a heatwave during the week we were hopeful of sunshine but we were greeted with half sunshine and half rain as we arrived. We lost the toss and bowled first. Tom Heighes opened the bowling and bowled an absolute jaffa to dismiss Rawlings for a duck. Samson carried on his superb form with the ball and picked up two wickets. But De Conti and Barton put on a 59 run partnership to frustrate our bowling attack. But Sudip and Ishfaq managed to claw it back in the middle overs by bowling nice and tightly. They had support from Matt who bowled well and picked up two key wickets. In the end we fielded well to restrict North Weald to 185-8 from 40 overs.

With only a par total on the board we went out to bat looking to get off to a steady start. Luke and Amit started well, but suddenly we found ourselves 47-2 after 10 overs. Ollie Latham kept up the momentum with Will and we were getting ahead of the game when Ollie was dismissed. Tom came in next and tried to get another partnership going before he perished playing one big shot too many. Sudip came in next but shortly after that Will was caught. As the drizzle started to settle in Ishfaq and Sudip came together to steer us home with 4 overs to go.
