Little Hallingbury Cricket Club Won By 98 Runs

Match report With many regular players away, Hallingbury secured an important win away at Lion Hawks. Amit continued his good form with the bat to lay the platform for the innings with a hard hitting 80. As the middle order failed to fire, it was Mithun, scoring his first league 50 for the club and Simon Jones who ensured we made a competitive total.
In the field, the attack was led by Maria Stedman making her league debut for the club. She could have had 3 wickets in her first over had we held our catches and her accurate away swingers kept the scoring rate down. Joe Ash took 2 wickets at the other end and Tom B-C held on to an important catch. In the end it was down to the cunning and guile of Nick Thorne who picked up 4 wickets to close out the Lion Hawks innings.
