Match report With only 3 games left of the season we played host to Hockerill at Gaston Green on a boiling hot day. We won the toss and fielded first we got off to a good start with the ball when Tom Heighes picked up the first wicket when the score was on 31. However with limited bowling resources we struggled in the heat and Mahal and B.Francis put on a partnership of over 100 to put us under pressure. But we kept our head up throughout in the field and took some good catches as the opposition got to a challenging total of 305 from 40 overs.
We went out to bat and got off to a cautious start as Stewart and Amit put on 31 before Stewart was given out LBW. Some good bowling from Hockerill meant the run rate started to climb but a captain's innings of 49 from Ishfaq kept us in the game but in the end it wasn't enough as we lost by 111 Runs.
