Match report With only 3 league games left we played away at Stansted. We won the toss and fielded first. We got off to a good start with the ball with both Joe, Samson and Tom bowling quick and making it hard for the Stansted batsman to score and at one stage they where 150-7 but some good batting towards the end of the innings from the lower order got the hosts to a score of 277 from 40 overs.
A calm start with the bat was required as we got that through Luke and Amit. Luke unfortunately was out with the score on 36 after a superb returning catch from the bowler. That brought Matt to the crease who timed his innings perfectly hitting some glorious shots and reached his first 50 in the process. Along with Amit they both ran very well between the wickets and doing so put on a partnership of 213 for the second wicket to take the game out of Stansted's hands. Amit also got to yet another 100 in the process. It was left to Ishfaq and Matt to see us over the over by 7 wickets.
