Match report Still looking for our first win on a Sunday we played Hatfield Broad Oak on a glorious sunny day at Gaston Green. We batted first and Tom and Karim got us of to a cautious start with the bat. Some good bowling from Rix (2-17) wrestled back some momentum with the ball. Some good contributions with the bat from Phil (32) and Nabeel (30) who carried on despite being hit on the arm from a throw from the deep) helped us stagger to a total of 170.

After a great tea we came out trying to pick up some early wickets. Young Charlie once again opened the bowling was very persistent with his line and length and was unlucky once again not to pick up a wicket in the process. Some good batting from Munday (50) kept them up with the scoring rate. However Malcolm and Freddie came on and stopped the flow of runs by picking wickets at regular intervals. In the end it was too much for HBO to do and the game ended in a draw.

We have a week off and go again in a weeks time against the Rachel Goold Xl.
