Match report With two draws under our belt the Sunday side played the annual match against the Rachel Goold Xl. Hallingbury batted first and got off to a good start in a 34 over game with Luke batting well and hitting the ball hard and retiring in the process. Some good bowling in the middle overs from McCraith and Sunny helped keep the scoring down and restricted Hallingbury to a score of 148 from 34 overs.
After a lovely tea courtesy of Cheryll Behagg, the Rachel Goold Xl set about chasing the score down and they got off to a flying start thanks to Louis Tipper who got to 30 before retiring. There were also good contributions from Mark Spalding and Martha Tipper who chipped in with valuable contributions as Hallingbury struggled to keep the run rate down. In the end it was too much for the Hallingbury side to do as the away side chased the runs down with ease. A good game played in a good spirit.
