Match report What a wonderful way to start a new season with glorious weather and a home baked authentic cricket tea! The game started off with a confident and commanding batting display from Paritosh and Phil who worked together well to put on a partnership of 80. With strong follow-up innings from Sam B-C and Joe A, a strong total of 209 was posted.
Our bowling was consistent all round with a double wicket over from Malcolm and 3 maidens from an economical Paritosh. However, the standout was Aarush who managed to bowl their most aggressive batsman out early on, and then went on to take 2 wicket Maidens in his second spell, a fabulous performance. Other notable moments were Paritosh's amazing run out, Phil's acrobatic (tumbling) catch, and Paul Ash booting the ball into a precariously parked van! Thanks again to all, and a special mention to Beni Atkinson, who stepped in at the last minute having not played cricket for 4 years!
