Match report This Sunday's game was a fabulous game with less than fabulous weather. We won the toss and put Eastons in to bat first with Sunday newcomer Zach Harris and captain Joe opening up. We had an okay start but after a first LHCC wicket from Zach their big number 3 came in and went on to score 117. There was very little to be done to stem the flow of runs as their 2nd and 3rd wicket partnerships were aggressive and quality. The pick of the bowlers was Malcolm F with 3 wickets, using his up and down 'you miss, I hit' tactics. A committed fielding performance with some injuries, including Paul Ash pulling a groin and Beth B-C taking a missile to the shin and having to be subbed off for Tom B-C! We then had a monster chase of 249 on our hands, and didn't quite ever get up to the run rate required. Decent starts from many of our batsmen including Nico Davies getting 22 off 6 balls, with high score coming from Karim who got a fine 54. We ended 41 runs short so a good stab, but we never really got going. Thanks to Malcolm for a lovely tea and everyone for dealing with the horrible weather at points!
