Our Sunday Game this week was at home to Hatfield Broad Oak. A mediocre bowling and fielding performance left us behind at tea as HBO put on a strong 216-3 in their 30 overs. We did not field or bowl badly but the opening partnership of 130+ was very harmful to our chances. Our 3 wickets coming from Joe Ash, Aarush S and Will G, who all bowled their full spells. Our batting was not strong enough to chase unfortunately, with the only real hope coming from a new member and friend of Raj, Anupam, who hopefully will continue to play for us for the rest of the season. Thanks to Ivan and Janet Shepard for providing our lovely tea and to our 5, yes 5, over 60s in this team who put their backs on the line for our wonderful club!
