Match report Looking to get a victory on the board in the HEBL league we welcomed Matching Green to Gaston Green. We won the toss and batted first and with rain around later we reduced the game to 30 overs. With a new opening partnership of Latham and Singh we thought we would get off to a good start. However, that didn’t happen as some good bowling from the Matching Green attack put us on the back foot straight away. A good innings from Sudip gave substance to our total but we were bowled out for 95.

With only a small total on the board we tried to drag the game on as long as possible, however it wasn’t to be as the top 3 of Matching Green had other ideas and knocked the total off with minimal fuss. Next week we go again at Hatfield Heath.
