Match report We travelled to Thorley on a warm and muggy afternoon looking to get a victory on the board. We won the toss and bowled first. We once again put the squeeze on early and applied pressure, however dropped catches and some sensible batting from the Thorley openers meant that the run rate gradually increased. Captain Ishfaq bowled tightly in the middle overs and was rewarded with 3 wickets. Sudip also bowled well and was unlucky not to pick up a wicket after some confidant LBW shouts. The home side in the end got to a challenging score of 274 from their 45 overs.
We didn’t get off to the best of starts losing Amit K. Some good hitting in the middle overs from Mithun and Sudip kept us in the game but in the end we fell way short of the target. At least we were home in time for the football! We go again next weekend against Farnham.
