Match report A cloudy August afternoon saw Little Hadham batting first at Gaston Green. Hallingbury got off to an excellent start with the ball; opener Arif chipping the ball to Matt in the deep off of Maria, and then Samson cleaning up Oxborrow with a peach to leave Hadham in trouble early on. The visitors would then consolidate and begin to recover and accelerate, but that didn't stop Featherstone removing the dangerous Wheatley for 30. The Hadham number 5 played a typically aggressive innings and Hadham soon passed 150, before Islam was then bowled by Apperley towards the end of the innings for 46. The final over of the Hadham innings would then see a wicket for Luke S, with the visitors closing on 177-5 from their allotted time.

A magnificent opening partnership of 110 between Karim and Apperley followed after tea, swinging the pendulum firmly in Hallingbury's favour. The partnership ended when Karim was run out by a direct hit for 34, and soon after this Shepherd also perished. However, at the other end Apperley was still going and brought up his second Hallingbury hundred of the season before falling himself late on, having found the boundary 15 times and cleared it twice. Rory would then see us over the line in typical Rory fashion with a few boundaries to cow corner. A fantastic result which featured a fantastic knock.
