Match report Looking to get our first victory of the Sunday season on the board we travelled to Great Canfield. We lost the toss and batted first. On a small ground Tom and Karim found the boundary at regular intervals. When it looked like they were both set for 50s, they both fell. That left Luke Wharton and Shaurya Singh (making his senior debut for the Club) to carry on from where the openers left off. Luke in the process getting to a well deserved 100 and Shaurya falling short of a maiden 50. Hallingbury finishing with a challenging 235 from 35 overs.
With a big score to defend we got off to a good start with Raj picking up two wickets in successive overs. When Dylan took a brilliant diving catch in the deep to dismiss Brown, we knew the game was ours. Great Canfield finished on 152-8 from their 35 overs.
