Little Hallingbury Cricket Club Lost By 122 Runs

Match report For our final Sunday home match of the season we played Springfield's. We won the toss and fielded first and struggled early on with the ball as the opposition got off to a fast start and they were 81-0 after 10 overs. However, Malcolm and Raj kept it tight in the middle overs and picked up wickets at regular intervals throughout the innings. Then towards the back end of the innings Beth bowled very well and picked up 4 wickets. Springfield batted nicely however and got to a challenging score of 227.
After a great tea we headed out to try and chase this big score down and we got off to a good start through Tom and Will who put on 61 for the first wicket and we thought that would set us up to get something out of the game. But after both were dismissed people got in but then got out again as some good bowling from A.Salti (3-2) and Nikat(3-1) help bowl us out for 105. Not a good day at the office for the Berries.
